Since you are buying the best column, it doesn?t make sense to try and ?make something work? when it comes to actually installing the column in your Chevelle. Note: The easiest way to determine the spline count on your steering box is by looking at the shaft. If the shaft is round with splines then it is a 30 spline. If it is splined with a flat spot then it is a 36 spline.
