Stock Replacement 4 Prong Switch Correct Recall Replacement For Factory 5 Prong Switch Discontinued since 7/1/81, the original 5 prong switch used the 5th prong for the continuous fan operation. GM engineers found that the fan operation created a safety hazard for tired drivers falling asleep at the wheel.
